To get started, all you need are frozen apricots and plain yogurt. The apricots provide a wholesome dose of vitamins and natural sweetness, bringing that sunny flavor front and center. Choose a plain yogurt without added sugar to keep the ice cream light and give it a creamy, smooth texture.

Make sure your apricots are frozen solid to achieve the best consistency. This simple, natural pairing means no additives, preservatives, or sneaky ingredients—just good, honest flavors that come together effortlessly.

If your apricots aren’t already frozen, pop them in the freezer until firm. Then follow these quick steps to make your ice cream:

– Place about 7 ounces of frozen apricots into a blender.

– Add roughly 5 ounces of plain yogurt, adjusting the amount depending on how creamy or firm you want your ice cream.

– Blend until you get a smooth, creamy texture, watching the vibrant apricot orange swirl with the clean white of the yogurt.

And just like that, it’s ready to enjoy! If you prefer a firmer scoop, slide it into the freezer for a few more minutes. I remember trying this on a blistering hot afternoon and being surprised by how creamy and satisfying the texture was—without an ice cream maker in sight.

  1. I have used press-n-seal on fresh avocado right after mixing it up with freshly ground garlic and found by sealing the mix in a glass bowl and sealing it pressing all the air pockets out the mix didn’t turn brown on the surface. Why wouldn’t this also work on a fresh cut avocado if you took the seed out and vacuum sealed the avocado using Press-n-seal getting all the air pockets out?
